Jami has been a fitness instructor for years, and got her start as an instructor at the YMCA, but her fitness background was not the only contributor to her interest in Pilates. Jami learned dance from a young age, and was an avid dancer through college, and she became a Pilates instructor after retiring from a 30 year career as a mental health professional. Pilates was the perfect blending of her three passions. Jami took her first class with Shirley Hilton at The Pilates Edge and fell in love instantly. Within months she had decided to become an instructor herself and she started training. She completed her training in 2013 and took on her first clients right away. Jami is confident that Pilates can help people of any fitness level improve their lives and is excited to help clients find the unique mind-body connection that only Pilates offers.
