Alana’s movement background began in dance.  She was first introduced to Pilates in the mid 1990’s as part of her dance training.  She began studying Pilates intensively in 2011 at Studio A Pilates in San Antonio, TX.  In 2013, Alana decided 10 years in the Insurance Industry was enough mental stress, it was time to pursue a path in doing what she loved, teaching movement.  She did the majority of her Stott Pilates teacher training at Pilates South Texas in Houston, TX.   She joined the Pilates Edge team in late 2016 after moving back to Oklahoma.  In addition to teaching Pilates, Alana has taught Belly Dancing at Belly Dance by Alana.  She trained aspiring professional dancers and taught classes geared for dance fitness.  Alana loves her team and clients at Pilates Edge.  They constantly keep teaching her new things and always make her smile.
